Photos and video: Trent Barton buses return to Broad Marsh for the first time in five years
The trentbarton bus operator has started operating services from the new Broad Marsh bus station from today 2nd October.
Company buses last used this station in 2017 when the old facility closed for the last time before demolition and redevelopment as part of the redeveloped multi-storey car park.

From today Sunday October 2, the bus station will welcome passengers from services including Skylink Nottingham, Skylink Express, Rushcliffe Villager, Mainline, The Keyworth, The Cotgrave and its partner operator Kinchbus 9.

Over 250 Trentbarton and Kinchbus services will call at the Canal Street base each day. This follows news in June that National Express coaches had started using Broad Marsh as a terminal.

Passengers will benefit from significantly improved facilities at the new bus station, including:

- A 24/7 facility to support 24/7 bus and coach services
- Bright and airy waiting areas separated from bus stops by glass walls and sliding doors
- Plenty of seating
- State-of-the-art passenger information displays including travel information and wayfinding
- Customer toilets
- 24/7 security service
- Easily accessible pedestrian entrances on Carrington Street and Middle Hill connecting rejuvenated pedestrian areas.
