Cops respond to report of pedestrian hit in St. George; buses have resumed their regular routes on Bay Street

Update: Buses have resumed regular service on Bay Street after detours between St. George Terminal and Slosson Terrace due to a pedestrian accident.
STATEN ISLAND, NY – A person crossing the street was reportedly struck by a car in St. George early Tuesday morning during rush hour.
The accident happened near a bus shelter at 50 Bay Street, near Hyatt Street.
The driver of a white sedan with a cracked windshield remained at the scene.
Some buses do not stop along Bay Street from St. George Terminal to Slosson Terrace. Affected routers include the S42, S46, S48, S51, S52, S61, S62, S66, S74 and S76, according to the MTA.
Stops will be made as requested at nearby intersections
