Cabinet nod to the construction of highways, bus terminals

The Jharkhand government cabinet meeting was held at the Bhawan project on Thursday, where 30 proposals were approved. Most of the Cabinet’s proposals were related to various ministries such as highway construction, government buildings and others. In one of the major political decisions, the Jharkhand Mineral Development Corporation Limited has secured the extension of the exploitation of Grade II sand ghats in the state for the next three years.

The cabinet also gave approval for the construction of the Ranchi-Purulia dual carriageway from Namkom ROB to Sangra, in which the government will spend Rs 181.73 crore. Similarly, plans for Rs 111.35 crore have been approved for four lanes from Bargai Lem Bodeya Road to Bariatu. The construction of a four-lane road will relieve congestion on these two axes.

The Cabinet also approved the proposal to construct a 100 bed intensive care hospital building at Lohardaga, Khunti, Seraikela Kharsawan.

The Cabinet decision for the establishment of Jharkhand Flight Institute Committee has also been taken, the training center of the institute will be established at Dumka. A proposal has also been approved for the construction of 256 houses for leprosy patients at Mudma Mauja in Nagri block at a cost of Rs 33.25 crore.

A Rs 76.45 crore plan has been approved to bypass the 7 km long, four-lane Dumka. In the Bokaro rehabilitation area, 20.46 acres of land have been donated for the establishment of the technology center. The positions of 22 district judges have been extended to hear pending rape and POSCO law cases. The benefits of the new pension were attributed to 180 madrassa teachers and the pension gratuity to the deficiencies of the teacher. A post has been created for the Senior Judge of the Ramgarh Family Court. The Director and Superintendent of Civil Surgeon Medical College have been authorized to remove 44 vehicles from outsourcing, of which 34 vehicles are Boleros and 10 buses.

The cabinet has approved a Rs 70.40 crore scheme for the interstate bus terminal in PPP mode at Jamshedpur. The proposal to merge the electoral framework with the administrative department of Jharkhand was approved after the event. Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited has been granted approval to provide a loan of 2632 Crores for unpaid electricity tax payment. Jharkhand Industrial Park Logistics Policy 2022 has been approved. Approval has been given to establish an Audit Officer position and a Finance Officer position in the Finance Department under the Department of Higher Technical Education. The Department of Water Resources Revised Rehabilitation Policy 2012 has been extended for the next 5 years to March 31, 2027.

An amendment has been made to the Rules of Conduct for the Jharkhand Personnel Selection Examination 2021, in which the examination paper for Diploma Technical Service positions has been amended. ITIs managed by industrial companies have been authorized to operate in PPP mode. Gola Engineering College has been approved to operate in PPP mode with the Bangalore institution. Appointment and ceiling of competent authority have been set for the expenditure of funds received from sources other than the plan budget. The land was given to M/s Rungta for 30 years on payment of 8 crores from 8 crores to Mauja Kuju of Rajnagar area in Seraikela. Approval was given to take a loan of JCF 6.92 crore for papers etc. at the Ranchi High Court. The post-creation approval of four judicial officers in Barhi was also welcomed during today’s council of ministers.
