Following the extension of the metro line between Mysore Road and Kengeri, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) announced a feeder bus service to some of the new metro stations that opened on Sunday.
Starting Monday, BMTC will operate 35 new buses on nine routes. Approximately 499 trips will be made by buses.
“For the convenience of the Mysore Road metro rail passengers, BMTC is introducing Metro Feeder buses from 7:00 am to 90:00 am. These services will be further streamlined based on traffic and passenger demand,†BMTC said. in a press release.
The 7.5 km long western extension line as part of Namma metro phase 2 from Mysore Road metro station to Kengeri metro stations will be open to the public from Monday, Bangalore officials said. Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).

Currently, 22 routes are operated from the Rajarajeshwari Nagar Gate (RR Nagar) to the Rajarajeshwari Nagar (RR Nagar) area. 43 buses are operational along this route and will make 230 trips per day. There are 14 routes with 43 buses that connect the University of Bengaluru to the door of the University of Bengaluru station.
BMTC will start feeder buses from Kengeri Traffic and Transit Management Center (TTMC) station which is close to Kengeri Bus Terminal metro station. 121 buses are deployed on 20 routes to the Uttarahalli region. 266 buses will operate on 45 routes to Kengeri Satellite Town, and 157 buses will operate on 96 routes to Kumbalagodu, according to BMTC.
